Castilla - La Mancha is an Objective 1 region with respect to European Union Funds. This means that the region belongs to the group of regions that are receiving more than 2/3 of the European Structural Funds (more than 135 billion euros) during the period 2000-2006. Investment in Castilla - La Mancha is a European priority being of key relevance the support to strengthen its economic development. In particular, European support is used to improve infrastructures, correct possible regional unbalances, improve training, as well as, encourage business investments to increase the regional economic progress.

The regional Government provides specific assistance to industrial investment and development by means of setting up a number of incentives and supporting programmes.
